In 2003 I was gifted a brand new eMac (I realize the post is called iMeow not eMeow – nobody remembers eMacs) and it served me well for nearly 8 years. In fact I never really had a problem with the computer at all. Eventually though, as technology does, it aged and the internet sped past the computers capabilities. I probably could have updated as I went but I failed to do so. This past year Georgia and I switched to a Mac Mini, which I’m typing on right now. I have a lot of memories with my old eMac and it’s hard to part with something that personal.
I though about it for a long while; what the hell should I do with this computer that we don’t really have room for anymore? Then, one day, when my beautiful fiancee was laughing in the other room it struck me. My immediate thought was that she was laughing at a picture of a cat that she found somewhere online. We love our cats, they are truly the cutest cats in the world and what is better than looking at funny pictures of other people’s cats online? Looking at pictures of our own cats online!!
Why stop there? Instead of posting funny pictures of our cats, or even videos, why not make a computer that is a live feed of the cats at all times that they exist within the confines of the computer itself? In other words, I decided to gut the old computer and put soft stuff inside of it.
This is the result:
They seem to like it so far.
